On March 6th, Kennesaw PRSSA held a Sports PR meeting with guest speaker Max Strauss, Brand Communications Director for the Atlanta Hawks & State Farm Arena. This meeting allowed students to learn more about the fast-paced, exciting world of sports communications from a professional who has been on the front lines for 10+ years. As a communication director, Max gave details about handling social media for an NBA sports team, how two days are never the same within the communication department, and gave an encouraging background on how he made it to where he is today. Mock Interview Workshop: Ace Your Next Interview!

On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Kennesaw PRSSA hosted a Mock Interview Workshop. At this event, students were able to practice their interview skills, in a real-life setting, with hiring experts. After their interview, attendees were able to receive real-time feedback from professionals; ranging from better body language to cutting out filler words when speaking, the advice given by these professionals will be sure to help them ace their next internship or job interview. Among the professional attendees were Mark Galvin, Jade Gonzalez, Brittney Calhoun, and former KSU PRSSA Presidents, Christian Gehrke and Ashlynn Lindsey. Kennesaw PRSSA Takes First Place in National PRSSA Pacesetter Award

On Monday, February 17 2025, the Public Relations Student Society of America National announced that the Kennesaw State University PRSSA chapter won first place for its’ Fall 2024 Pacesetter Award! This award acknowledges achievements within PRSSA chapters regarding membership, national participation, and chapter development. Kennesaw State University has been recognized for this award six times in the past, but this is the first time receiving the first-place honor. KSU PRSSA wants to thank all the faculty, e-board members, students, and sponsors that make awards and recognitions like this possible.
