On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Kennesaw PRSSA hosted a Mock Interview Workshop. At this event, students were able to practice their interview skills, in a real-life setting, with hiring experts. After their interview, attendees were able to receive real-time feedback from professionals; ranging from better body language to cutting out filler words when speaking, the advice given by these professionals will be sure to help them ace their next internship or job interview.

Among the professional attendees were Mark Galvin, Jade Gonzalez, Brittney Calhoun, and former KSU PRSSA Presidents, Christian Gehrke and Ashlynn Lindsey. Towards the end of the evening, a Q&A was held for students to ask their most pressing interview and preparation skill questions. All the answers given from our professionals were noteworthy, but a couple of tips that stuck out the most were to keep an updated and full LinkedIn page active and “every rejection is redirection”, so do not become discouraged after every misstep. Instead, students should use this opportunity to learn and grow!

We want to give a huge thank you to all those who attended our chapter meeting as well as the professionals who took the time out of their busy schedule to help our students learn and grow their professional brand. Kennesaw PRSSA is committed to the career growth and relationship building of its students, and this chapter meeting was a perfect example of these efforts. Comment below, what is one tip you would share for those who are nervous about an interview?
