Kennesaw PRSSA members are getting ahead of the game by embarking on agency tours with PR giants like Ketchum Atlanta. The students had an immersive experience with Ketchum executives on March 27, 2024, where they learned about Ketchum’s mission and values, recent campaign successes like Wendy’s Mercury Retrograde Menu, the annual fellowship program for recent graduates, and the future of AI in PR.
Across the country, college students are graduating at exponential rates without experiencing an authentic workplace, leaving them inadequately prepared for entry-level positions.
Throughout the presentation, the spirit of Ketchum could be felt from their employees, as they beamed with excitement to answer questions and share career insights with KSU PRSSA members, making sure to connect everything back to their “why.”
“We show up every day for each other [Ketchum employees] and for our clients to do work that matters in the world,” said Greg Dauphin, the Senior Vice President of DEI at Ketchum.
From behind-the-scenes glimpses of the office to interactive questions and prompts, our talented students had the opportunity to learn from award-winning executives. The day was filled with insights, networking, and inspiration as they interacted with Ketchum professionals, gaining valuable knowledge and forging connections that will last throughout their careers.
The event was organized by current PRSSA president, Christian Gehrke, and former Kennesaw PRSSA president, now Ketchum Account Executive & Employee Experience and Branding Coordinator, Lauren Gay. Kennesaw PRSSA would like to thank Ketchum Atlanta for their generosity by opening the door for emerging professionals within our chapter.
