Executive Board

Meet the E-Board of the Public Relations Student Society of America chapter at KSU: a team of student leaders, passionate about public relations, collaboration, and building the future of the industry.

Deja is a senior Public Relations major with a minor in Crisis Preparedness, graduating in December 2026. She is a strategic communicator and student leader passionate about digital media, purposeful leadership, and advancing inclusive storytelling within the communications industry. 

Deja remains actively engaged in campus leadership and service. She is a member of the National Council of Negro Women, EmpowerHER, and the Kennesaw Excellence Society. She also serves as a Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences Ambassador and a Global Ambassador for KSU. Additionally, she is a member of the planning committee for the Leaders in Kennesaw Retreat.

Upon graduation, Deja aspires to become an influential public relations leader and ultimately establish her own firm, using strategic communication and digital innovation to drive meaningful impact.

Esther serves as the VP of Events for the chapter. She was raised in Atlanta by Kenyan-born parents, with a love of the art of communication.

She has gained experience volunteering at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, supporting social media projects for a children’s summer camp, interning with the KSU women’s basketball team, and working with a communications agency. 

Alongside these experiences strengthening her enthusiasm for the PR industry, she has also discovered a passion for creating meaningful moments that encourage & inspire fellow students through her time on Kennesaw PRSSA’s E-board.

Jeanely Rodriguez is a Public Relations major with a minor in professional Writing at Kennesaw State University. She serves as the Vice President of Digital Media for PRSSA, where she leads the organization’s digital presence and develops strategic, engaging content across social platforms.

She is also a Social Media Ambassador Intern for the School of Communication and Media and the PR Chair for the Organization of Latin American Students, where she leads promotional efforts and supports community- focused initiatives. With a strong foundation in storytelling and visual communication, Jeanely is passionate about building brand identity and creating meaningful audience connections.

Joshua Chapple is a Junior Public Relations and Media & Entertainment major at Kennesaw State University with a minor in the Joel A. Katz Music and Entertainment Business Program. Passionate about storytelling, culture, and influence, Joshua is building a career at the intersection of media, entertainment, and strategic communication.

Kenna Weber serves as Secretary for the chapter. She is a Public Relations major, minoring in the Joel A. Katz Music and Entertainment Business Program. An independent musician and writer, Kenna is passionate about entertainment, design, and branding, with a strong interest in amplifying emerging artists and celebrating creativity. She is currently interning with Rival Entertainment and hopes to continue building a career in the music industry. In her free time, she enjoys writing, reading, singing, and analyzing creative media.

Momina is a senior majoring in public relations, currently serving as the Website and Awards Manager for Kennesaw PRSSA. She remains actively involved on campus as a member of PRSSA, Pre-Law Club, Human Services Club, the Criminal Justice Student Organization, Muslim Student Association, and the Pakistani Student Association. With a strong interest in strategic communication and digital PR, Momina combines her leadership background, hands-on communication experience, and genuine passion for public relations to support the growth and visibility of Kennesaw PRSSA. Through PRSSA, she has gained valuable exposure to agency tours and industry professionals, further reinforcing her interest in branding and digital PR.

Marley is a dedicated member of the Kennesaw PRSSA Executive Board and currently serves as the PR Intern. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and will graduate in December 2026. Marley enjoys creating content, connecting with peers, and refining her storytelling skills. She hopes to use her education and leadership experience to launch a successful career in public relations.

Gian Shepard studies Public Relations at Kennesaw State University and is the Vice President of Finances for the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). He manages budgets, builds sponsorships, and secures resources to support student events and opportunities. Gian has also held leadership roles on the Flight Student Advisory Board and with the African American Male Initiative, where he strengthened his communication, planning, and teamwork skills. His experience in event planning, customer service, marketing, and research has given him a strong foundation in strategic communication and building professional relationships, helping him grow as a future public relations professional.
